Scaling sales operations

virtualDCS wanted to enhance their sales operations by establishing a team dedicated to outbound sales, new business development and overall company growth. They were looking for a partner capable of recruiting, training and developing a new team whilst ensuring a smooth onboarding process and seamless integration with their existing sales team.

Furza solution

Furza’s dedicated talent acquisition team generated and worked through over 600 applications for the Leeds location, thoroughly pre-screening each candidate ensuring right fit for sales, the role and virtualDCS. All candidates invited went through a comprehensive, 3-step process including a pre-screening call, telephone interview and competency test.

Our process is designed to assess candidates on their communication skills, attitude and sales-related competencies. The initial 15-minute call included basic feasibility questions, whilst ensuring candidates possess strong communication skills and the right mindset for the role before progressing them to the telephone interview stage. The telephone interview and competency test lasted 30 minutes, during which candidates were scored on various sales competencies and their suitability for virtualDCS, designed to uncover their motivations and skills.

virtualDCS’s assessment centre took place at Headingly stadium, the home of Leeds Rhinos on Thursday 20th February. The team invited special guest, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, to deliver an inspirational speech to candidates based on teamwork, before they were offered a tour of the famous stadium. Six candidates were successful on the day and will now enroll onto Furza’s headcount for 3 months of bespoke sales training, before they join the team at virtualDCS, ready to hit the ground running.
