Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Furza Training Group Ltd recognises that all businesses have an obligation to prevent slavery and human trafficking and will do all in its power to prevent slavery and human trafficking within its business and within the supply chains through which it operates. In this statement, we describe the steps taken to address modern slavery and human trafficking.
Organisation and Structure
Furza Training Group Ltd is a graduate sales recruitment business. We provide training and development to sales graduates and place these graduates in roles with our clients. We are committed to respecting and upholding human rights of our people and all other individuals we conduct businesses with.
Policies and Governance
All members of staff have a personal responsibility for the successful prevention of slavery and human trafficking, with Senior Management taking the lead responsibility for compliance in the supply chain. The policy does not form part of any employee contract and we may amend it at any time.
Due Diligence
Furza Training Group Ltd ensures strict compliance checks are carried out for all candidates it supplies. We verify the identity of each worker and their right to work before supply commences. Our own processes around candidate engagement ensure our employees are alert to the signs of exploitation, in order that we may take the necessary action promptly and effectively should it be identified.
All Furza Training Group Ltd employees have access to dedicated channels through which they may voice concerns. Furza is committed to protecting employees when disclosing malpractice and will ensure that all disclosures made in good faith will be treated confidentially and without fear of retaliation. Our principal asset is our people and we have, therefore, created a working environment that is safe, fair and inclusive and seeks to support their wellbeing and learning.
Furza Training Group Ltd communicates our expectations to employees and suppliers that modern slavery and human trafficking is an unacceptable practice within our supply chain. We seek to minimize the risk of human rights infringements in our supply chain by carefully evaluating suppliers and their commitment and due diligence to ensure that they also comply with the law during the ‘Supplier Onboarding Process’ and ad-hoc supplier audits.
Risk Assessment and Management
Furza has a risk-based methodology in place to check whether its suppliers comply with The Modern Slavery Act. Human rights and modern slavery risks are assessed as low given the nature of our ‘Well Known’ supplier base and industry sectors they operate in, and our focus on the UK market where risks for UK employees are lower given the national legislative context and the robust policies and processes we have in place throughout our business.
Nevertheless, we recognise that specific jobs may be more vulnerable and as such due diligence should be carried out by Furza during the ‘Supplier Onboarding Process’.
The procurement of goods and services are with suppliers that are ‘well-known’ and have strong ethical, corporate and social responsibility. Due Diligence has been completed by Furza to ensure that these suppliers comply with the law and have adequate measures in place to uphold human rights.
Training
The delivery of our human rights and modern slavery training is dependent on key personnel having a good understanding of the key issues, the legislative requirements of our business and our approach to risk identification and management.
Should any of our colleagues need any additional information or support with regard to human trafficking, forced labour, servitude and slavery, this will be provided.
Key Performance Indicators
We will know the effectiveness of the steps that we are taking to ensure that slavery and/or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain if:
• No reports are received from our staff, the public, or law enforcement agencies to indicate that modern slavery practices have been identified
Furza have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own businesses or those of our suppliers.
