Furza held and exclusive Driving Day event 'Accelerating Sales Outcomes' at Mercedes Benz World, on Wednesday 5th March 2025.

The Event
The event brought together sales and business leaders for insightful discussions on the common challenges of hiring and training early careers salespeople, and how partnering with a trusted sales training provider can help overcome them.
Furza CEO, Mark Rothwell, shared how Furza’s recruit, train and develop model empowers businesses to accelerate growth and cultivate high-performing salespeople and teams.
Attendees also heard from Dane Vallejo, VP of Sales and Customer Success at Intruder, who shared his experience in developing an outbound sales motion and how Intruder’s partnership with Furza played a key role in that success, you can read more about Intruder’s journey here.
Dane offered three key takeaways from his experience in hiring a new outbound sales function:
- Sustaining high standards post hiring: “When partnering with talent sourcing and training experts like Furza, you're giving new hires an accelerated start in their careers - but have you given enough thought to how you'll mirror and maintain those high standards once things transition to BAU? Do you have the right process, reporting, and tooling set up for your hires? I thought we did, but with hindsight I can see where we had opportunities to improve, and we've needed to constantly refine our approach over time.”
- Defining your ideal customer profile: “When you're picking up the phone, sending emails, or reaching out on LinkedIn to prospects, you need to be really, truly sure that you understand your ideal customer profile. It sounds obvious, right? And it is. But if you're not able to precisely define your ICP in firmographic and technographic terms, you may find that a lot of those leads struggle to progress through to fully qualified opportunities, let alone revenue.”
- Engaging prospects at the right time: “Do you have the ability to reliably engage prospects when they're in market? What does it mean for your sales cycle if you can't? As a general trend, sales cycles don't appear to be getting any shorter in 2025, so if your SDRs are left to tackle the majority of their prospects at random, and in many cases before the prospect has even commenced the 'awareness' phase in their buyer journey, you'd better be prepared to settle in for deals whose durations are measured in double digit months.”
After hearing from Dane, Attendees then took to the track for an adrenaline fuelled afternoon driving the AMG’s.
